I am a registered psychotherapist and the last years I have been working with expats in different mental health organisations in the Netherlands. Therapy is possible in Greek, English and Dutch. I work in Leiden and Amsterdam (for further information: www.resynthesis.nl)

Adjustment and integration into a new country can be challenging, especially if someone is dealing with past unresolved issues. If you feel stagnated in life, it might be an indication that you need to find a new balance.

Through a therapeutic process you can get helped to transform psychological pain into psychic growth. Along with the reduction of (sometimes long lasting) symptoms your resilience can be increased and your personality can furhter develop.

You can start therapy with me if you are dealing with difficulties related to the following:
Adjustment and integration into a new country, depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, long lasting difficulties in relationships, self-image and identity, life changes, sexuality and lgbt issues.

About me

I studied psychology in Greece (Panteion University) and completed a MSc in the Netherlands (Leiden University) and a postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy in Belgium (KU Leuven).

In addition to long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy I am trained in Mentalisation Based Therapy (MBT), Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Traumatherapy (EMDR) and in client centered psychotherapy. For the past few years I have been working with adult expats and immigrants in Dutch mental health care organisations.
