Phineke
psychosocial therapist/familytherapist/relational therapist

Introduction
Hello! I'm Phineke (1979), a registered psychosocial therapist, (child and family) nurse, developmental and lifespan psychologist, Video Home Trainer, and Infant Mental Health (IMH) specialist. I work with individuals, couples, parents, children, and families at different stages of life.
My work is grounded in several evidence-based and humanistic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy (Rogerian approach), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and an Infant Mental Health perspective. This allows me to tailor therapy to each person's unique story, strengths, and needs.
My expertise lies in relationships and family dynamics, pregnancy and the transition to parenthood, and supporting young families. I frequently work with concerns related to infant feeding, sleep, emotional regulation, parenting, couple relationships, and the emotional impact of becoming a parent. I also have extensive experience supporting people experiencing burnout, grief, unresolved life experiences, and major life transitions.
Many of the challenges we experience in the present are connected to earlier experiences and relationship patterns. Together we explore these puzzle pieces with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful change.
I believe that life is shaped through relationships. Some experiences help us grow, while others leave us feeling stuck. My aim is to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where all parts of you are welcome. By acknowledging both your strengths and your vulnerabilities, you can develop greater self-acceptance and resilience.
I am passionate about breaking taboos surrounding mental health, parenthood, relationships, and family life. Whether you come individually, as a couple, or as a family, we work together to understand your story and build a path forward that fits your values and your life.
Sessions are available in person, online, during a therapeutic walk, or through home visits, depending on what suits you best. I offer therapy in both Dutch and English.
If you want to know more or make an appointment, feel free to contact me.
Online therapy
Therapy can take place via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Many people find that being in their own home helps them feel more comfortable and at ease. I do everything I can to create a safe, familiar, and supportive therapeutic environment, wherever we meet. Sessions can also be tailored to your preferences and circumstances, alternating between online, in-person at my home-practice, home visits, or even walking sessions in the park.
